歌詞は、自傷や自死について語っているように思え、最後の「Tearing myself apart,
from the things that make me hurt!」の一文は、やられるより自分で自分を殺したほうがマシだ的な意味が込められているようにみえる。また、この曲を以下のように作詞者のショーン・クラウン・クラハンが語っているが、言ってる意味はさっぱりである。
