原初を感じさせるサウンド
アフリカ大陸の若しくはアフリカ原住民族のサウンドを思わせるリズムが曲を通して強調された曲で、ラップがメインの曲。低音の電子音やパーカッションが多様に組み合わされ、複雑なリズムを形成している。しかし、曲の終盤で壮大さを感じさせる展開に変化する。
それは、原始林から広大なサバンナに乗り出していく人類の草創期を感じさせる。曲の最後には、再び４曲目の軍隊の喧騒が聞こえるが、これに原始的な低音がかぶさり、突如として曲が終わる。
原始的なものへの回帰を勧めながら、その消失を綴る
この曲の歌詞からは、何をしても救われない現代の人々の心境が語られているように思える。そして「start trying to catch up motherfucker」は、何か原始的なものへの回帰を切望する一節に見えてくる。しかし、「But when they come for me, I'll be gone」は、それがもうすでに不可能であり、原始の精神は失われていることを伝えているのかもしれない。関連情報
